This is an English hand made lace bobbin made commemorating the Royal Wedding in 1981 of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer, later known as Princess Dianna of Princess Di. and was made in 1980.

The turned fruitwood wood lace making shuttle or bobbin used in making bobbin lace measures 4.5 inches long and features with pyrography and hand painting that has the added appeal of being a piece of British Royal memorabilia.

The spangles or decorating beads, which serve to identify one bobbin from another, are alternating clear and pale blue faceted crystal beads with a blue marbled central glass bead.

The hand made royal commemorative lace bobbin has a dedication in the folk art called Pyrography or wood burning with a hand painted design of silver bells and flowers.

The inscription, bells and flowers have been done with a hot needle or stylus which indents the lettering and colors the wood as it oxidizes.

The dedication says Royal Wedding Of Charles And Diana 29 July '81 St. Paul's. The inscription can be felt as well as seen.
