Shelley China

This is a rarely seen Shelley China, England Art Deco Borgfeldt pattern cup and saucer in the pattern number 113000 in the Gainsborough shape.

The pretty Art Deco era teacup and saucer has Robins Egg Blue or Aqua on white with hand colored black grapevine bands with purple grapes, small blue flowers and borders of hand applied green sections with red enamel and black dots and gold trim.

The bone china pedestal cup is 2.75 inches high, the saucer is 5.5 in diameter.

The mark and number identify the date to be between 1912 and 1925 when the mark was changed.

The striking and elegant cup and saucer is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or gold wear.

There is one tiny pattern error on the saucer shown in the photos, which may have been done during the manufacturing process.

This is a rarely seen pattern made only for a few years. I love the Art Deco design!
