Westmoreland Open Salt Salt Dish Bottom Individual Clear 1920s USA Salt Cellar Teabag Holder
This is an antique clear pressed glass salt dip or open salt with fluted sides or panels and a star bottom that was made by Westmoreland Glass Company, USA in the 1920s.
The open salt measures 1 inch high by 1.75 inches in diameter and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
The salt is pictured on page 137 of the collector's guide 5,000 Open Salts by Heacock and Johnson.
Open salts are now used on the dining or tea table for sauces, teabag holders or even for their original use...salt!
Also for rings or paper clips...very useful!
