George Jones Crescent Double Handle Cream Soup w Underplate Rosebuds Navy Gold
This is the daintiest and loveliest antique two handled cream soup or bouillion cup and saucer or underplate set. The set was made in England by George Jones and Sons Crescent China in the 1890s.
The cup is 2 inches high by 5.25 wide including handles by 2.5 in diameter and the saucer, underplate or liner is 5.5 in diameter.
The rosebuds are lovely and they are the most delicate bone china. George Jones is one of my favorite manufacturers and this is outstanding example.
The cream soup set was made in England for Simmons Hardware in St. Louis, Missouri USA. Both pieces are in excellent used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or wear with only minor crazing and are really beautiful. People use these as teacups as well as for soup.
