Fairmont Empress Teacup Trio Royal Doulton Bone China 1970s Royal Connections Victoria BC

Hammersley, England

SKU:
  • $ 000

This is a gorgeous English bone china cup and saucer with matching plate, or teacup trio, in a pretty pattern exclusive to the Fairmont Empress Hotel in Victoria, BC Canada, famous for it's wonderful afternoon tea.

The pretty pattern was designed for the hotel in 1914, and a crown was added after by King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in 1939, when the hotel was part of the Canadian Pacific Railroad hotels. The pattern is made by Royal Doulton, England.

The elegant, fit for a royal bone china cup measures 2.5 inches high by 3.5 inches in diameter and holds 8 ounces, the saucer is 5.5 inches in diameter and the matching plate measures 8 inches in diameter, all with gold trim.

The teacup trio or cup and saucer with matching plate is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks.

I have included a photo I took of the tea table at a recent afternoon tea at the Fairmont Empress.

The design is so pretty and perfect for your tea table, or if any royal is due to come to tea!
