Eggcup Princess Margaret Dots Dartmouth Pottery Devon Egg Cup 1950s
This is a Dartmouth Pottery, Devon England single hoop or bucket eggcup made in the 1950s in a pattern called Princess Margaret Dots or Polka Dots.
The pattern was created and became very popular after a visit of Princess Margaret, younger sister of Queen Elizabeth II in 1951 to the Royal Naval College in Dartmouth where she wore a dress of white polka dots on blue.
The eggcup or egg cup measures 2 inches high by 2 in diameter and is in very good +++ condition with 1 tiny rough place on the rim.
