Butter Pat Gold Leaf Floral Homer Laughlin Bag Caddy Gold Ivy
This is an antique butter chip, butter pat or small butter plate made in the 1890-1900 by Homer Laughlin, USA. The butter pat is unmarked, but I have bone dishes to match which are marked, although I can't read the faded pattern name. The ironstone butter pat measures 3.25 inches in diameter and is made of scalloped ironstone with a gold foliage pattern like ivy and gold trim and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wear and only mild crazing. The butter pat, which makes a wonderful teabag caddy now, is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks but showing age crazing normal for the material.
