This dark blue transferware or transfer ware platter was made 1892-1905 by J.H. Weatherby and Sons, Hanley, Staffordshire England in the pattern called Trentham.
The serving platter measures 11 inch by 8 inch and is marked semi porcelain. The platter is molded and has a gilt rim.
The platter is in very good +++ condition with no chips or cracks, but there are a couple of manufacturing flaws due to impurities in the clay--frequently seen in this era.
