I love this art deco era hand painted river scene teapot made in England in the 1928-1930s. The porcelain teapot has a charming river scene with birds, insects and cattails. The teapot has no maker's mark but is a very well done design of a black transfer that has hand painted enamel work over the transfer with hand painted gold trim. The teapot measures 5.5 inches high by 9.5 inches long and is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chip or cracks and no gold wear. There is some kiln dust on the handle with happens during the firing process and is not considered a flaw, and some crazing which is normal for age and glaze formula. The river habitat is a lovely design subject...so peaceful!
