This is a pretty Italian mini mosaic brooch or pin from the 1960s. The hand made gold plated setting holds a green background, flower bouquet theme mosaic of tiny glass pieces or tessarae that measures 1 inch high by 1.25 inches wide.

The pin is so lovely and dainty.

One of the neat thing about this pin is that the center flower bouquet is raised from the background and gives it a 3 dimensional effect, as well as allowing us to see the painstaking work and skill needed to make these hand made pieces.

The floral mosaic brooch was brought back from a trip to Italy 1967.
