This is a wonderful antique porcelain butter pat or butter chip made 1890-1910 by Mark & Butherz Carlsbad Germany with a hand painted daisy design with gold trim.

The butter pat measures 2.25 inches square and is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks and only very minor gold wear.

Butter pats have had a renaissance of late for use as teabag holders or caddies, sauce dishes in the kitchen and dining room and as ring holders in the bedroom or bath.

A lovely small work of art.
