Oriental Polychrome Saucer Tea Bowl Antique Transfer 1870s Chinoserie
This is an antique Staffordshire England Oriental Poychrome cup saucer or tea bowl made from 1860-1870s.
The oriental design is polychrome hand painted enamel paint over pink or red transfer.
The deep saucer or tea bowl is 1.25 inches high by 5.65 in diameter with no maker's marks except the script number 153 on the saucer which is normal for English potteries of that period.
I have pictured it with a cup from another set for reference, and scale, but the cup is not included.
The cup saucer is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There are a few mineral impurities or kiln dust present which is normal for this early era.
A beautiful example of Oriental Polychrome Chinoiserie from Staffordshire.
