This is a coronation mug from 1937 made for the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth.

The wonderful historic and collectible bone china mug by Grafton, England commemorates the coronation in 1937 of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth who are the parents of Queen Elizabeth II of England.

The mug is 3.5 inches high and is 2.75 inches in diameter has a lovely sepia portraits of the couple with a crowns atop surrounded by symbols of the United Kingdom and cipher on the reverse with commemoration on a ribbon.

The 1937 coronation mug is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or restorations.
