Edwardian Curling Iron Vestigal Red Paint Nickel Plated Vanity Hair Curler Iron

England vintage

SKU:
  • $ 000

This is an Edwardian era English curling iron or hair curler that was heated over a flame or hot surface than used to make curls.

The curling iron, which dates to 1900-1910, is 10.5 inches long and has wooden handles with vestiges of red paint.

The blades are tight and are nickel plated, but do show wear, although minor. Overall the tongs are in very good +++ used vintage condition.

These were acquired in England, but are unmarked.

A great Edwardian vanity survival. Anna Bates and Lady Mary would be very familiar with these at Downton Abbey! Perfect for powder room or vanity.
