This is a Sylvac Ceramics, England tea strainer shaped like a smiling faced teapot made by Shaw and Copestake, England from the 1940s, usually called a Face Pot.

The anthropomorphic smiling teapot with eyes, nose, smiling face and the words Tea Strainer serves as a caddy to hold the metal tea strainer...which is chrome plated...until it is needed to strain the tea from your large teapot from going into the cup.

The teapot shaped treacle brown glazed tea strainer measures 3.5 inches high by 5.5 inches long by 3.5 inches in diameter.

The teapot tea strainer is in a line called Face Pots which Sylvac specialized in the 1940-1950s which are very collectible.

The Face pot ans chrome tea strainer are in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Cute!
