Sugar Shaker Hammersley Grandmothers Rose Muffineer 1930s Caster Fancy English Bone China

Hammersley, England

SKU:
  • $ 000

This is a Hammersley, England red Rose patterned tall fancy sugar shaker, muffineer or sugar caster in the Grandmother's Rose pattern made 1939-1952, which is rarely seen and was Hammersley's version of the famous early china pattern of Moss Rose.

Pattern is perfect, although photo shows a light strike on the roses which is not there.

The pretty red Rose sugar shaker is in an especially pretty pattern with wonderful scalloped and mildly lobed shape with hand applied gold trim and a figural Rose top finial.

The tall Hammersley Grandmothers Rose English bone china sugar shaker, muffineer or sugar caster measures 7 inches high by 4 inches in diameter.

The sweet red, white and gold sugar shaker is in excellent used vintage condition with no chips or cracks or gold wear.

Sugar shakers or muffineers were a Victorian teatime gadget used to shake or sift crushed sugar on muffins... English muffins, not US type... crumpets or pancakes or crepes.
