This is a vintage set of 3 Occupied Japan little dishes, butter pats, butter chips or small plates made in Occupied Japan so dating from 1945-1952.
The dishes or plates measures .5 of an inch high by 3.45 inches in diameter and have a design of a courting couple in 18th century dress with gold trim.
The porcelain butter chips, butter pats or little dishes is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks, but there is some gold trim wear, and some normal manufacturing flaws like a bump of clay or a bit of kiln dust which is quite normal for Occupied Japan pieces.
Butter pats make marvelous teabag caddies, individual sauce dishes or ring dishes at the sink or bedside.
