Commemorative Teacup King George VI and Elizabeth Visit To Canada 1939 Demi
This is a British Royal Memorabilia souvenir cup and saucer made in England in 1939 to commemorate the visit to Canada of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth of England who were the parents of Queen Elizabeth II.
The ceramic demitasse, demi or espresso cup measures 2.5 inches high and has sepia portraits with color surrounding design, dedication on the back and blue trim and does the saucer which measures 4.75 in diameter.
The souvenir cup and saucer is in very good ++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks, or wear, no gold trim loss and minor crazing but there is a decal flaw on the front of the cup at the bottom of the design right at the center of the ribbon which looks to have been during manufacturing as it is under the glaze. A neat souvenir for an historic event.
