Victorian era early photograph of a sweet child on a chair on metal or tintype from the 1870-1880s in original embossed cardstock mat.

The child is in a cute dress, and as it is hand colored with pink on the cheek remaining, I assume it is a little girl, but in this era when dress was similar it is hard to be sure.

1/9 plate tintype taken in a studio, in the embossed cardstock mat with what looks to be the original paper backing.

3 inches high by 2.25 inches wide; tintype in mat seems to be 2.5 inches high by 1.75 inch wide.

The tintype or early photograph dates to 1870-1880s and is in very good ++ used antique condition.

There is some discoloration which is normal and one minor feather crack to the plate at the top only noticed under the magnification of the photo. There is evidence of a tag on the back at some time.
