This is a lovely vintage hand embroidered tablecloth, tea cloth or bridge cloth made 1930-1940s with a pattern of thistles or milkweed in taupe, aqua and gold.

The design of the pretty table cloth features cross stitich and embroidered thistles or milkweed flowers in french knots, basketweave and lazy daisy stitches as well as other stitches in an aqua, gold and brown.

There is an undulating faggoting or drawn thread line around.

The table cloth or tea cloth is made of a linen, and measures 35 inches square with scallops and truncated corners. 

The scalloped hems are bound in a taupe.

The tea cloth is in excellent used vintage condition with no flaws that I found. This is such a pretty design. Perfect tea party cloth.
