This is a beautiful late Victorian period antique cut crystal knife rest or carving knife holder made in England 1890-1910. The large knife rest measures 1.25 inches high by 4.5 inches long. The knife rest is a barbell shape with faceted ball ends that taper to an 8 sided bar. The outsides of each ball end is flattened with a star shape cut into it. The knife rest is in excellent condition with only 2 tiny facet chips. A gorgeous way to keep the table cloth clean.
